Celebratory event TTR Center 20 Years of Contribution to Education and Research

TTR Centre celebrated its twenty years of operation with great success in an impressive event on September 20, 2024. The event took place at the company's research facilities in the village of Xyliatos, Nicosia district and gathered over two hundred people, Furniture Makers/Carpenters from all over Cyprus, Companies that are partners of the Wood/Furniture Branch and friends of the TTR Centre.

The General Director of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance event, Mr. Kostas Hatzipanagiotou welcomed the event on behalf of the Minister, Mr. Yiannis Panagiotou, underlining the importance of the TTR Centre.

The event focused on the circular economy with a theme that included the three pillars: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, adding Reforestation, highlighting TTR Centre's commitment to sustainable development and environmental awareness.

The evening began with a review of the history of the TTR Centre, by the dear partner, Professor of the University of Thessaly, Dr. Georgios Ntalos and Director of TTR Centre, Mr. Michalis Socratous, presenting the most important achievements and innovations that established it as a pioneer in the Wood/Furniture Industry of Cyprus.

The event also included the awarding of certificates to the successful Carpenters within the framework of the System of Professional Qualifications, which is managed by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus. In addition, plaques were awarded to retired Carpenters for their contribution to the Cyprus Wood/Furniture Industry.

Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and participate in interactive presentations of TTR Centre's new products and services.
